I didn't plan on losing three hours of my life to a browser game last Tuesday night. The Fun of Not Knowing What Comes Next
What keeps you going in Infinite Craft is the sheer unpredictability. In a lot of puzzle games, you can figure out the logic after a few levels and cruise on autopilot. Here, I constantly found myself guessing what on earth would happen if I paired an abstract concept with a physical object.

Sometimes my logic worked out, and I felt like a genius. Other times, I combined two things that should have made complete sense together and got an absolute dead end or a bizarre non-sequitur that left me laughing at my desk. That constant element of surprise is what makes the whole experience so engaging.

Why I Kept Playing
As the clock ticked past midnight, I told myself I would stop after making one more major discovery. That is the classic trap of any good crafting game. Every time you unlock something interesting, your brain immediately wants to see what that new element can build next. Can I combine it with wind? What happens if I add fire?

Before I knew it, I had spent hours testing out weird hypotheses and expanding my digital universe. If you enjoy casual browser games that let you experiment freely without any pressure, you will probably lose a few hours here too. Just make sure you do not have any early morning meetings scheduled before you open the tab.
